Heim-PC: AMD Ryzen 5950X, 64GB RAM, GTX 1080 bullshit-software works with your workaround like a treat. Hah!Ĭame here to just say this is still, after all this time, relevant. Seems for some reason I believe I can remember everything. I now have made a How-To note for myself which I usually do. Slackware also benefits from this info as does Arch. I forgot how I made it work last year with a Sonicwall SSL-VPN 2000 and I have since re-installed Gentoo. This works with Gentoo and an SMA 400 I installed today expecting to have a working Linux client. Old thread, but this needs to be sticky or something. Posted: Tue 4:05 pm Post subject: Awesome trick! Thank you for figuring this out charmquark, as NetExtender works wonderfully with your fix and without a need to set routes manually or make hack job custom scripts! I just stuck a shell script in root's home with my commandline in it and kept a terminal tucked in a corner while on the vpn. If your connection drops and is restarted, it tends to crash the GUI frontend. One thing I've found, when forced against my will to use netExtender, is that it behaves better using the CLI rather than the GUI. This script gets deleted on disconnect, so you have to make the link while connected. Once it does so, go to /etc/ppp/ip-down.d and create another symlink sslvpnroutecleanup.sh -> sslvpnroutecleanup. Because they can't be bothered to name their file right. After trying once (and killing it when it stalls), cd as root into /etc/ppp/ip-up.d and create a symlink sslvpnroute.sh -> sslvpnroute. Was anybody able to get SonicWall NetExtender to work on Gentoo. Posted: Sat 8:10 pm Post subject: Sonicwall NetExtender
